Synopsis:

The staff of the Spirits and Such Consultation Office embark on a seemingly routine hot spring getaway to Zebra Prefecture, invited by the owner of Ibogami Hot Springs to investigate local supernatural occurrences. Their trip takes an unexpected turn when a mysterious event during the train journey transports Reigen and Serizawa to a strange, spectral realm. Disoriented and cut off from their companions, they must navigate this unfamiliar world while attempting to understand the circumstances of their arrival.

The anime explores themes of displacement and unraveling the boundaries between realities. It presents a blend of comedic situations arising from the characters' reactions to their predicament, alongside moments of quiet contemplation on the nature of existence. The journey becomes a test of resourcefulness as Reigen and Serizawa strive to find a path back to their own world, highlighting the bonds of friendship forged in unusual circumstances.

Aw man nice surprise specials of great anime like this one, would make you feel so desperate for another season to come out! Honestly man, after doing a project the whole day, I'm so glad I made the decision to go onto a site that every anime fan knows about (💏 anime) and the dub/sub versions of this just popped up like dang, happy days! There has been a lot of things happening in this 24 minute short so I'm not gonna spoil it for you ONE fans out there. The only clue I will give you is that Reigan has someone well known as one ofhis phone contacts at the beginning but that's all I'm gonna say.nnSo glad to see the Mob Psycho crew back together for this special, it's definitely well needed at this time if you're sick of unoriginal Isekai anime being newly advertised every season!

Most of the time, you'd be done with a specific series and say to yourself “Now I'll never have to deal with this abomination of nature”. Of course, that applies to all of those BAD shows that you are just forced to finish out of your completionist habit. But then again, there are always the shows that have you asking for more, even when they are finished, so as soon as extra content is released, you're already carving a sit through. That is of course very common with sequels and whatnot. But short animations are almost always a grind. They either have a doll anduncompelling setting, used as a cash grab marketing move, or in some rare instances like this one, is a love letter to the fans, a thank you statement appreciated only by the devoted fans that always ask for extra.nn“Mob Psycho 100: Dai Ikkai Rei toka Soudansho Ian Ryokou - Kokoro Mitasu Iyashi no Tabi” is a self-contained story, set some time after the evens of the second season of the parent show “Mob Psycho 100”, following Shigeo, Reigen, Ritsu, Teruki, Ekubo, and Katsuya as they head expecting a relaxing hot spring vacation only to be involved into yet another odd Job of Reigen's expertise.nnWhat sells the OVA is how modular it is, it could easily be bundled with the second season as a sequential episode with none noticing a drop of pacing, animation, voice acting or quality, it has been clearly given the same amount of love and care the parent series got. It was truly an enjoyable watch that had the same lovable characters, used the same familiar landmark humor, welcomed back the fans, and opens its arms to the strange. All in short. Watch it!

5/10 ~ Just a Filler episode This for all intensive purposes should just be considered episode 14 of season 2 as it happens directly after the events of the finally of season 2. That being said this is just a filler episode with almost no baring on season 3, but this is better then a over glorified recap episode that was the first special of season 1. Tho this is technically a hot spring episode that is so cliche but almost a requitement for some reason for all Shōnen to have these days, it is bay any means ecchi, so there's that I suppose.Being a silly 1 shot, the story is poor, zero development that matters. I probably would have skipped this personally if I knew this going in. This filler episode is for any diehard fan of Mob and just needs any content, I understand this is not for me.
