This series reimagines familiar Japanese folktales within a vibrant world of competitive horse racing. The narrative blends traditional storytelling with the high-stakes atmosphere of professional equestrian sport, presented through dynamic visuals and rapid-fire commentary. Characters embody archetypal roles drawn from classic stories – the valiant hero, the downtrodden underdog, the cunning antagonist – all navigating the demanding world of training and racing. The anime explores themes of perseverance, ambition, and the weight of legacy, using the unique framework of horse racing to examine enduring human narratives. Produced with support from the Japan Racing Association, it offers a distinctive blend of cultural heritage and contemporary entertainment.
