Synopsis:
The narrative follows Elianna Bernstein, the Bibliophile Princess of the Sauslind Kingdom, whose passion for literature leads her to an unconventional arrangement with Crown Prince Christopher Selkirk Asherald. Four years prior, she accepted his proposal on the condition that she retain her freedom to read. Her motivation wasn't romantic; rather, it was the allure of access to the royal archives. As their engagement continues amidst whispers of the prince’s affections for another, Elianna grapples with the potential end of their shared time. The story unfolds as they navigate evolving feelings, moving beyond the formality of their agreement and toward a deeper understanding of each other's desires and perspectives within the confines of royal duty and personal longing.
