This is not an easy movie to watch by any means. It is a difficult watch that deals with the realities of war. The movie's focus doe not deal with war in terms of actual combat, rather focuses on the impact and aftermath left by war and the scars left on people both physically and psychologically. This is a movie of extremes where it shows through its imagery the different between tranquility and utter destruction. It shows the battle between hope and hopelessness in a desperate situation and how the people fight the battle around them and within themselves. It really shows what people doin really desperate situations, and how they try cope in the aftermath and make the best decisions with the cards they have been dealt. My only criticism is that due to the animated nature I feel some situations were a little too positive given the situation, but others were handled extremely well.
