Synopsis:
This animated work expands upon an existing manga series, offering a deeper look into its world and characters. The upcoming releases center on exploring themes of avarice and providing supplementary narratives that enrich the core story. The fifteenth volume focuses intently on the consequences of unchecked ambition, likely examining how greed shapes individuals and their interactions within the established setting. The sixteenth volume presents a collection of short stories detailing the lives and experiences of the main cast, offering viewers a more intimate perspective beyond the central plotline. These additions suggest a desire to broaden understanding of the characters’ motivations and histories, providing a richer, more layered experience for fans of the source material.

Some folks might say that these 2 OVA episodes are more for the people who have read the manga, and that if you've only seen the anime (season 1) it isn't worth it to watch these. Those folks are WRONG. WATCH these 2 OVA episodes no matter if you have or haven't read the manga. I have not read the manga; I only watched the anime. And I loved these side stories! They did a great job filling in any questions you may have had after just watching season 1. Man, I really hope that the announced new release for next year is aseason 2, and not a remake. -

This ended up making a nice ova series. You get to learn more about Ban's backstory and then you get a 22 minute ride full of really funny specials all put into one compilation. Out of the male cast, Ban is my second favorite so learning parts of his backstory that weren't in the main series was pretty entertaining and it further explains why him and Elaine cared so much for each other. There's no point of breaking down a group of really funny specials so I'm not going to bother explaining episode 2. If the original series entertained you , you'llget to see some really good comedy from the characters you love and a nice backstory. It's a win win. Since the epic fighting isn't here but the other aspects are if even to a lesser extent, 8/10 it is, which is still a good score. -

This is going to be a short review since it is just two episodes I am going to break it down for each episode. Overall I think you should definitely watch Ban's episode. I think that episode is super good and gives such a good background for Ban and his past. The second episode is just short funny stories not that important. Episode 1 (9): This episode really just made me very emotional. It dives deep into Ban's past before he was apart of Seven Deadly Sins and it was such a good episode. The story really grew the complexity of his character and kind of putpuzzle pieces of the conflict between King and Ban together. I actually made me shed tears on how sad the episode was. I highly recommend it.nnEpisode 2 (7):nThis episode was a collection of short comedic stories that do not progress any characters or storyline so it is not really that important. Some shorts are really funny like Elizabeth and Hawk's story and Meliodas and King's story. Some were just boring to me like the holy knights and some others. But it was still enjoyable in the end. It really wouldn't change you if you do watch or not. - ... and 2 more reviews
