Synopsis:

The narrative centers around a young woman navigating a world where societal expectations clash with personal desires. Initially presented as a recluse, her life takes an unexpected turn through interactions with others who challenge her self-imposed isolation. The story explores themes of identity and belonging within a subtly fantastical setting—a blend of everyday life and elements hinting at hidden realities. Character development focuses on the protagonist's gradual opening to connection, marked by both humorous misunderstandings and moments of quiet introspection. 'I'm Living with an Otaku NEET Kunoichi!? Specials' special episodes take place after the season has concluded. It's also called Episode 25 and Episode 26 based on the Japanese episode titles. I am keeping the score from my original review (https://myanimelist.net/reviews.php?id=555654) because the negative points of the original series also apply here. Be that as it may, I am marking this as recommended. Why? Those considering these episodes (actually one entire 24-minute episode split into two separate mini-episodes) are already fans of the first season of the anime. If you love Neet Kunoichi, you will love these episodes. There are no monsters or enemies here. It's just pure fun where our girls are doing silly things.nnAlso, it might possibly work as a standalone that those who haven't seen the main series can safely watch. The disadvantage though is that you don't know who the fuck are these characters? But their antics may be enough to draw you in or even watch the main series. Again, I'm not a fan of the anime, but I'm informing you so you know what you're dealing with.nnEpisode 25 is a beach episode. It has some fanservice. I don't remember any beach episode in the main series and I don't know why they had to wait for a special to include it. I see no reason not to show it on TV, and it has something that doesn't compare with how Momentary Lily does it. (Hint: It has to do with physics.)nnWatching this episode doesn't strictly depend on having seen the main series, except for knowing the characters' names and their relationships among themselves. This episode made me consider that these special episodes might work as a standalone.nnEpisode 26 might be a little doubtful as a standalone. It depends on you having seen the antagonists in the finale. Still, if not knowing who these characters are doesn't faze you, it might still be worth watching despite not seeing the main series. nnIn conclusion, these are fun episodes. I may have issues with the logic of the main series, but I cannot deny how fun these episodes are, which is why I am marking it as recommended despite retaining my original score.
