Synopsis:

The series follows Hideki "Rusian" Nishimura, a young man grappling with the fallout of a painful rejection in an online game. Initially shattered by a virtual heartbreak and the revelation of his online love interest’s true gender, Rusian develops a deep distrust of female characters in virtual spaces. Years later, while navigating guild life with a close-knit group of players, he encounters Ako, whose affectionate pursuit leads to an unexpected proposal. Despite lingering reservations, Rusian accepts, prioritizing connection over perceived gender. However, a real-world gathering reveals a surprising truth about Ako and the other members of his guild – they are all individuals from his past, blurring the lines between the virtual and the tangible, and prompting him to reconsider his preconceived notions about relationships and identity. The anime explores themes of trust, acceptance, and the complexities of online interactions.
