Synopsis:

In a realm defined by its monstrous inhabitants and ruled by an enigmatic king, the Kingdom of Ozmargo maintains a fragile peace with humanity through ritual sacrifice. For a century, a human is offered annually to the king on the night of revelation, a pact enforced by tradition and fear. Sariphi, the latest chosen sacrifice, arrives at the palace seemingly unburdened by dread or longing. Her unconventional demeanor piques the interest of the king, who grants her unusual freedom within the castle walls, despite the reservations of his court. As an unexpected connection forms between them, the approaching revelation threatens to shatter the established order. The narrative explores themes of fate, companionship in isolation, and the potential for change within deeply entrenched societal norms as Sariphi’s presence unravels long-held assumptions about both worlds.
