Synopsis:
In a world rebuilt after devastating war, humanity resides within six seemingly idyllic city-states. Shion, a privileged citizen of No. 6, encounters Nezumi, a mysterious boy who reveals a hidden reality beyond the city walls – a desolate wasteland populated by outcasts. A fateful decision by Shion to shelter Nezumi has profound repercussions, stripping him and his mother of their elite status and exposing the underbelly of their seemingly perfect society. Years later, fate reunites Shion and Nezumi, setting them on a path to uncover long-buried truths about No. 6’s foundation. The narrative explores themes of societal control, privilege, and the blurred lines between utopia and dystopia as these two individuals challenge the established order and confront uncomfortable realities within their sheltered world. The series unfolds with a contemplative atmosphere, examining the cost of maintaining peace and the power of hidden knowledge.
