Synopsis:

Mireille Bouquet, a seasoned assassin living a solitary life in Paris, finds her routine disrupted by an enigmatic invitation from Kirika Yuumura, a Japanese student proposing a journey into the past. Drawn by a familiar melody, Mireille accepts, leading to an unexpected encounter fraught with immediate danger. The pair quickly discover a shared proficiency for combat and unsettling gaps in their memories.

United by a sense of foreboding connection, they form an uneasy partnership under the alias "Noir," taking on assignments that gradually unravel the threads of their forgotten histories. The series explores themes of identity, morality, and the burden of past actions as Mireille and Kirika navigate a world of shadows, striving to reconcile their skills with the questions of who they truly are. Their quest for answers reveals a complex narrative where shared experiences may hold the key to both redemption and destruction.
