Synopsis:
Set in a future where asteroid mining is a burgeoning industry, this series follows Nanbu Ushiwaka, a twelve-year-old who has spent his entire life on the asteroid Tortatis. The fragile community thrives under the protection of Planet Catcher Corporation, but their existence is shattered when a disastrous military operation jeopardizes the asteroid's stability.
Abandoned by Earth and their own corporation, Ushiwaka and the remaining colonists must confront an imminent catastrophe – a failing nuclear reactor threatening to consume their world. The narrative explores themes of isolation, resilience, and the precariousness of human ambition in the face of cosmic forces. The story focuses on the colonists' desperate struggle for survival as they navigate dwindling resources and the crumbling infrastructure of their isolated home, questioning the true cost of humanity’s reach for the stars.
