Most of the recaps tend to be controversial episodes for the sole purpose of being released in the screening schedule of the parent show, they take up the time slot, delay the episodes, and slow down the progress. I get that, But sometimes, when you take time off, go tend to stuff in the real world, and then come back later, the recap can be a real bootstrap for getting back on the show. In the case of the recap, the timing and release couldn't be more unfortunate, we were all hyped for Law's and Blackbeard's confrontation outside of Wano but then this recap hit uslike a stray bullet.nIn retrospect, it's one of those rare episodes that are really good to watch as a standalone or even by non One Piece fans, it introduces Law and covers his bigger points starting from Sabaody Archipelago all the way through Punk Hazard, Dressrosa, and Wano.nnGood watch narrated by Chopper and Bepo.

The new arc barely started and we already get a recap episode, huh. Well, at least this time it’s not a simply a story recap but rather a character recap, so it’s not *completely* useless. Also, despite being “Egghead Recap”, it barely touches upon Egghead. Though that’s not a bad thing, we don’t need to be reminded of episodes that literally just aired. The most enjoyable part was the opening, but obviously that sequence is not original to this recap. I mean, barely anything is original to the recap, just the short chibi sequence and some of the narration. So for example despite the Puncture attackanimation sequence being awesome, I can’t credit it to this recap as that’s just reused footage from the series. Well, recap is as recap does.nnI would equate the experience of watching this recap to reading Law’s wiki page. I don’t think a whole another special was really needed for this.
