Synopsis:
Across a fractured Japan, a solitary figure journeys, his presence marked only by the distinctive blade he wields – Onikirimaru. This enigmatic swordsman is an ogre, burdened by a self-imposed mission: to eradicate his own kind and attain humanity. His travels are steeped in a somber atmosphere, punctuated by the echoes of human suffering he encounters. He carries the weight of responsibility as the sole barrier against potential annihilation at the hands of other ogres. The narrative explores themes of identity, prejudice, and the complex nature of redemption through a character grappling with a devastating past and a desperate hope for a future he may never experience. It is a story focused on personal struggle within a world teetering on the brink of conflict.
