Synopsis:

The narrative centers on the lives of four royal princes in Grannzreich as they navigate a complex competition for the throne under the tutelage of Heine Wittgenstein. Their structured existence is disrupted by the arrival of the king and twin sons of the neighboring Romano Kingdom. This diplomatic visit quickly becomes fraught with tension when the young Romanians express a disdain for those deemed unfit to rule. To ease the burgeoning conflict, Heine is tasked with tutoring both sets of princes, a measure intended to foster stronger ties between the two nations. The series explores themes of ambition, duty, and the challenges of forging alliances through education. It presents a study of interpersonal dynamics within a royal setting, contrasting established hierarchies with the potential for unexpected connections.

Alright, I'll start off with this: This movie is definitely for those who are fans of the Royal Tutor anime, like myself. If you're new, then it is best to watch the anime first before the movie or you're not gonna care much about these characters. If you didn't like the anime or someone who's looking for something grand to happen in the movie, then you might be disappointed. This review will be spoiler free! -Story: One way to describe this movie is that it felt like I just watched one long episode of The Royal Tutor but with two new pretty boys. So nothing new reallyhappens story wise if you're familiar with the anime. If you're hoping to learn something about Heine or see more of the princes and their story, then this movie might be a letdown. nn-Art:nLike always, this anime just loves to make hair seem as amazing as possible. But for real about the art, it's pretty much similar to the anime, so nothing breathtaking. Though, I do notice the increase of 3D animation and it can be very distracting once you notice. It does not really mesh well and can look a little wonky.nn-Sound:nThe soundtrack is enjoyable and a good one for this movie, so I don't have any complaints. The ending song is pretty cute too and loved listening to it. nn-Character:nAgain the characters will seem meh if you never seen the anime before. So if you're familiar with them, you'll still love these guys. Though, the focus of the movie will be these two new princes. And they're pretty decent characters and would like to see more of them if the anime does get a season two. Heine did not get that much focus as I hoped. The four princes have an even amount of screen time, though Licht and Leo get shining moments on their own. Sadly, Eins doesn't get much screen time. The interactions between the characters are just as enjoyable as the anime and a lot of fun to watch.nn-Enjoyment:nAs someone who loved and enjoyed the anime, this movie was a lot of fun and made me want a season 2. One of my fav things of the movie was the ending where it was time for a dance and we get to see certain characters dance with each other which I won't reveal too much. It's just cute~ nn-Overall:nWhile I did enjoy this movie, I gotta say that it's nothing too special since it pretty much is like one big episode. If you enjoyed the anime and don't mind that it's like watching an episode then I recommend it! If you're someone that wasn't a fan of the anime, then I would say skip the movie.

It's great to see the old gang (Heine and the four royal Granzreich princes) back together, but this time around, the twin princes from the Romano kingdom with very interesting character traits were included in the picture. It's up to royal tutor, Heine, to teach these 6 princes and help them get along with each other. It was, overall, a feel-good, mood-lifting movie that's worth the watch :) Loved the characters, including the new ones. The plot is not complex, yet I found myself relating and enjoying each scene. If you liked the Royal Tutor anime series then you'll definitely enjoy this one too.

I watched the original series back when it aired and I gave it a 5/10. This movie is slightly worse and I'll explain why. Animation: 1) nothing too ugly but not too pretty to look at either 2) useless and ugly CGI at the end Sound: 1) there were some moments where the dialog and the animation were not properly synced2) some characters only sound good singing if auto-tuned nnnStory and characters:n1) the plot is simple and that works for this type of series but it got dragged out to the point that I wasn't entertained by the movie anymoren2) The inclusion of (SPOILER!!!) this King that is against anything that does not involve violence and everything else that happened afterwards was ridiculous. It doesn't matter if you agree or disagree with the guy but if he's the King, obviously their sons would have to obey so that entire sequence was ridiculous. And when the princes returned to perform, the King would know about them going against his orders because it's really hard to believe that the heirs to the throne would go home without an escort. nnnAll things considered this movie is a 4/10 for me.
