Synopsis:
In a shadowed American underworld dominated by organized crime, a string of high-profile assassinations fuels widespread fear. The source of these deadly events lies with Inferno, a shadowy organization leveraging a formidable human weapon known as Phantom. The narrative follows a Japanese tourist whose accidental witnessing of a Phantom assassination irrevocably alters his fate. Captured and subjected to psychological manipulation by Phantom, identified as Ein, and the enigmatic Scythe Master, the tourist is reborn as "Zwei"—a hollow shell devoid of memories and fiercely loyal to Inferno.
Trapped within a world of manufactured realities and relentless violence, Zwei grapples with a desperate struggle for survival. His journey becomes a perilous quest to reclaim his lost identity and potentially escape the clutches of those who have stolen his past, all while navigating a landscape where life is a fragile commodity and every alliance is built on deception. The series explores themes of identity, manipulation, and the cost of forced servitude.
