Synopsis:
Set in a post-apocalyptic world ravaged by conflict, *Planetarian: The Movie* explores themes of humanity, memory, and connection. The narrative follows a lone Junker who stumbles upon a seemingly abandoned department store, where he encounters a highly advanced service robot named Y assume it's awaiting patrons. Drawn to the machine’s unwavering dedication, the Junker agrees to repair the planetarium’s projector, a task that awakens something profound within both of them. The story unfolds within the decaying cityscape, painting a poignant portrait of isolation and the search for meaning in a desolate future. As the robot shares stories of a lost civilization through celestial projections, their bond deepens, raising questions about what it truly means to be alive and the enduring power of hope amidst despair.
