    Synopsis:

    The series follows Satoshi as he joins a lab opening in Vermillion City, where an unusual Pokémon sighting prompts a rush to the harbor. There, they encounter Lugia, a legendary Pokémon embroiled in a conflict with other trainers. Satoshi's impulsive action of striking Lugia with Pikachu unexpectedly leads to a shared ride on the creature’s back with a fellow trainer named Gou. This unconventional journey across the sea marks the beginning of a partnership with Professor Sakuragi. Recognizing Satoshi and Gou's unique perspectives, the professor invites them to become research assistants, embarking on expeditions to explore diverse regions and discover new Pokémon – including those capable of Gigantamaxing. The narrative emphasizes exploration, teamwork, and the burgeoning relationship between these young trainers as they delve deeper into the world of Pokémon.
