Synopsis:
Following a protracted conflict between the Royal Empire and the Republic of Frost, the nation struggles with rebuilding. The series centers on Alice L. Malvin, a determined officer within the Pumpkin Scissors, an imperial unit focused on humanitarian aid. While assisting a village plagued by displaced soldiers, Alice encounters Randal Oland, a veteran haunted by his past. Drawn to the Pumpkin Scissors’ commitment to recovery, Randal joins their efforts.
A pivotal mission reveals a latent power within Randal, triggered by a mysterious artifact—a blue lantern. This transformation grants him immense strength, yet simultaneously hints at a darker potential. Alice, undeterred by this unsettling display, extends an invitation for Randal to remain with the unit. She believes in his inherent goodness and seeks to guide him toward a path of redemption amidst the lingering shadows of war. The narrative explores themes of trauma, responsibility, and the complexities of finding humanity in a world scarred by violence.
