Synopsis:
In the bustling cityscape of Hong Kong, the Paper Sisters – Anita, Maggie, and Michelle – operate a detective agency specializing in cases connected to literature. Their world intersects with that of Nenene Sumiregawa, a Japanese novelist grappling with creative stagnation and haunted by the vanishing of a close friend. Hired as guides, the sisters find themselves unexpectedly tasked with protecting Nenene from a shadowy organization.
The trio's unique ability to manipulate paper proves vital in safeguarding her, yet their differing perspectives on literature create internal tensions. As they delve deeper into Nenene’s past and the cryptic assignments issued by Dokusensha, a connection emerges between her history, the missing friend, and mysterious books. What begins as a protective arrangement escalates into a complex investigation, forcing the sisters to confront dangerous truths and question the lengths they'll go to for the sake of stories and those who create them.
