The quiet life of peddler Ires and his father is abruptly shattered by an encounter with Yuan, a prodigious individual known as a "tempest." Mistaken for bandits, the confrontation escalates, culminating in Leglight's mysterious disappearance. His father vanishes into a strange black light, leaving behind only a peculiar device and cryptic instructions to seek out Oldman in Gramnoa. Driven by a desperate hope, Ires embarks on a journey to this remote locale, seeking answers about his father's fate. The story unfolds within a world subtly steeped in folklore and unexplained phenomena, exploring themes of familial bonds, loss, and the search for truth amidst the unknown. Ires must navigate unfamiliar landscapes and uncover secrets connected to his family’s past while grappling with the implications of this extraordinary event.

Alright, I don't get it... What did I just watch? So, what do we have? Well, it starts out with a narrator introducing to us the world where the story is about to take place. And then we see a someone finding a wounded boy...and again the narrator explaining that years passes and that Ires and Ledlight (the two characters we saw before...but seriously, how are we supposed to know it since no one introduced them to us. To me they were just random characters 1 and 2)...did nothing interesting during some years, and then there's a fight with...heck, I don't care any more! The battle ends just like itbegun, leaving us completely clueless...and the narrator starts speaking again...and again...and again.nMan, why don't you shut up, no one is watching anyway!nnBasically, this OVA is just a patchwork of scenes that you don't understand, linked between them by a sloppy narrator, and showing characters which names you don't even know! Great!nnAnd actually this whole OVA seems to be the summary of a video game!nWell, I don't get it: why would you want to create that?nYou can't promote the video game with it: it just spoils the entire story, and when you finish it, you will more likely puke on yourself than buy the game.nnThis anime should not exist.nSeriously, don't watch it, even if there's a gun aimed to your head, just don't watch it! (I wish I could go back to before I randomly downloaded and watched this...) -

Well, this is a weird one. I've never played any of the Rebirth games that this OVA was based on, so taken out of context, none of these scenes make much sense to me. The story is presented in a really haphazard manner. Each scene is broken up by a narrator accompanied by a screen full of text, making them all seem disconnected from each other. This also makes the story difficult to follow, and it seems more like a collection of animated cutscenes that could have probably been in the game. The audio is well done, but didn't blow me away, voice actors deliver their linesfine, and sound effects sound good enough. The soundtrack didn't stand out, though.nnThe animation is pretty nice to look at, which is a plus. However, that's not enough to make this anime any good.
