Sagashimono (ONA)

This short film follows a young woman’s solitary journey through the expansive wilderness of Hokkaido. Driven by an internal search for self-discovery, she navigates a landscape of natural beauty and quiet solitude. Directed and animated by Takuji Miyamoto, with music by sooogood!, the piece explores the contemplative experience of encountering vast, unspoiled nature. The film eschews traditional narrative structure, instead prioritizing atmosphere and emotional resonance. It offers a meditative glimpse into the protagonist's evolving sense of self as she confronts the immensity of her surroundings. Currently showcased at New Chitose Airport’s Digital Symbol space, it invites viewers to reflect on personal identity within a grander context.
