Synopsis:
In the quiet coastal city of Kyushu, classical pianist Kaoru Nishimi seeks anonymity as he begins his high school life. Haunted by a history of displacement, he anticipates another isolating year until an unexpected encounter with Sentarou Kawabuchi disrupts his expectations. Drawn into the world of jazz through Sentarou’s passion, Kaoru finds himself unexpectedly connecting with music and, ultimately, with others.
The narrative unfolds within the intimate setting of a family-owned record shop, where after-school jazz sessions become a haven for newfound camaraderie. As Kaoru embraces this vibrant musical community, he begins to shed his reserve and discover the power of shared passion. The series explores themes of belonging, self-discovery, and the transformative effect of artistic expression, painting a gentle portrait of friendship blossoming amidst the rhythm of jazz.
