Synopsis:

Following a peculiar event stemming from a fan gathering, Ruuko Kominato grapples with the implications of her identity as a Selector. Alongside friends Yuzuki and Hitoe, she questions the morality of participating in life-or-death battles, fearing irreversible damage to their relationships. Their concerns contrast sharply with Chiyori, another Selector who embraces the conflict without understanding its potential cost. Ruuko's attempts to dissuade Chiyori lead her down a path of discovery, uncovering fragments of a WIXOSS novel that hints at the origins of LRIGs and the purpose behind the Selector battles themselves.

Simultaneously, Akira Aoi’s career experiences a resurgence thanks to Iona Urazoe's possession by Ulith. Dedicated to serving Ulith, Akira remains unaware of her benefactor’s manipulative intentions. Ulith harbors a plan centered on a specific LRIG, designed to specifically target Ruuko and thwart the fulfillment of a deeply held wish – potentially revealing a larger, more sinister design at play within the Selector world. The series explores themes of consequence, sacrifice, and the struggle against predetermined fate.
