In a world where linguistic diversity stems from an ancient, enigmatic event orchestrated by the Custodians, humanity faces renewed threat. The Symphogear project’s core team – Hibiki Tachibana, Tsubasa Kazanari, Chris Yukine, Maria Cadenzavna Eve, Kirika Akatsuki, and Shirabe Tsukuyomi – are dispatched to a remote Antarctic research facility. Their mission: secure a powerful relic while rescuing the remaining scientists from automated defenses known as Coffins.

After successfully retrieving the artifact, international protocols dictate its transfer to American researchers, a decision that ignites conflict. The shadowy organization Noble Red, a successor to historical power structures, emerges as a primary antagonist, seeking to seize the relic for their own purposes. The Symphogear wielders, supported by the S.O.N.G. organization, must now contend with both external forces and internal political complexities to safeguard the relic and prevent its potential misuse. The series explores themes of global cooperation, historical legacies, and the burden of inherited destinies.
