Synopsis:
Thirty-three years after the arrival of the JAM, an extraterrestrial force that initiated an invasion of Earth from Antarctica, humanity's conflict has shifted to the JAM homeworld of Fairy. The United Nations maintains a significant presence on Fairy, with five established bases and a formidable military, including the Fairy Air Force (FAF).
The series follows Lieutenant Rei Fukai, a pilot for the FAF's Special Air Force’s Boomerang squadron, operating the Super Sylph fighter jet, "Yukikaze." Fukai is tasked with gathering intelligence on JAM tactics through aerial reconnaissance. He relies heavily on Yukikaze's advanced systems and AI, though his detached personality often isolates him from his peers.
During a fierce engagement, Fukai encounters a perplexing phenomenon: an unidentified aircraft identical to his own, displaying hostile behavior. This unexpected event forces Fukai to confront not only the escalating conflict but also the unsettling implications of the JAM's technological capabilities and potential origins. The narrative explores themes of isolation, technological dependence, and the evolving nature of warfare in a distant world.
