Synopsis:

Kousei Arima was once celebrated for his unparalleled musical talent, a prodigy lauded as the "Human Metronome." His life was defined by rigorous training and unwavering expectations, culminating in consistent success within the competitive classical music world. Following his mother’s unexpected death, however, Kousei experiences profound synesthesia, losing his ability to perceive sound and abandoning his musical aspirations.

Now a high school student, he navigates grief and a muted existence alongside close friends. A chance encounter with the unconventional violinist Kaori Miyazono disrupts this quietude. Drawn into an unexpected collaboration as her accompanist, Kousei finds himself challenged to confront his trauma and rediscover his passion. Their evolving relationship explores themes of loss, perception, and the transformative power of art, as Kaori attempts to reintroduce color and emotion back into a world rendered monochrome by grief.
