Synopsis:
Set against the backdrop of a shifting political landscape in Edo-era Tokyo, this series follows Shirou Sumiya, head of the Way of the Paper Drawing clan. Their unique art form allows them to capture and manifest the turmoil of the times through dynamic brushstrokes. Summoned to the shogun's capital, Sumiya and his disciples find themselves embroiled in escalating conflicts. The clan’s artistic abilities prove vital as they confront colossal entities brought forth by unseen forces attempting to destabilize the shogunate. The narrative explores themes of tradition versus change, artistic expression as a source of power, and the burden of responsibility in a world on the brink of upheaval.
