    Synopsis:

    Years after the devastating conflict detailed in *Soukyuu no Fafner: Dead Aggressor - Exodus*, a fragile peace exists within the remnants of humanity’s subterranean cities. The story follows a new generation of pilots, grappling with inherited trauma and the lingering threat of the mysterious, seemingly dormant alien force known as the Festum. Set against a backdrop of decaying urban landscapes and claustrophobic environments, the series explores themes of generational responsibility and the psychological toll of prolonged conflict. New Fafner units are developed, but their deployment sparks ethical dilemmas regarding resource allocation and the potential for renewed warfare. The narrative centers on individual struggles for meaning in a world defined by loss, as these pilots attempt to forge a path forward while haunted by the past.
