    Synopsis:

    Set against the backdrop of 1930s Shanghai, this series explores themes of protection and destiny within a world of organized crime. The city is fractured by a protracted power struggle between rival mafia families, impacting the lives of ordinary citizens. Erika, an orphaned girl haunted by misfortune, finds a temporary haven with the skilled martial artist Liu Fei-Yan, only for tragedy to repeatedly follow her. Fei-Yan's desperate attempt to secure Erika’s future leads him to Kenshiro Kasumi, a formidable figure whose presence seems to alter the course of events.
