Synopsis:
The story unfolds in a world where remnants of an ancient, technologically advanced alien civilization lie buried beneath the modern era. Long ago, these beings inadvertently brought about their own extinction through their powerful creations, leaving behind warnings for future societies to eradicate their technological legacy.
Set against this backdrop, the ARCAM Corporation safeguards these relics, employing its elite Spriggan unit to prevent misuse. When a significant discovery is made within the Ararat Mountains – believed to be connected to the legendary Noah's Ark – Spriggan Yuu Ominae is tasked with securing the site. However, their mission is quickly complicated by the arrival of the US Machine Corps, a Department of Defense faction intent on seizing control of the artifact and ARCAM’s lead scientist. Yuu, alongside fellow Spriggan Jean Jacquemondo, must contend with this aggressive force to protect the Ark from exploitation and potential catastrophe. The anime explores themes of responsibility, historical consequences, and the ethical implications of wielding powerful, unknown technology.
