Synopsis:

In the vibrant urban landscape of Shibuya, a young man named Neku Sakuraba unexpectedly gains the ability to perceive the thoughts of others through mysterious black pins. This newfound power reveals a hidden world of "Noise," entities poised to erase individuals from existence. Thrust into a confined reality, Neku is compelled to participate in the Reaper's Game – a seven-day event with potentially fatal consequences.

He encounters Shiki Misaki, a fellow participant who proposes a partnership to combat the encroaching Noise. As they navigate increasingly challenging missions alongside other Players and enigmatic Reapers, Neku and Shiki unravel the cryptic origins of the game itself. The narrative explores themes of identity, free will, and the blurred lines between life and oblivion within a surreal and unsettling atmosphere. The series follows their struggle for survival as they confront existential questions amidst a constant threat.
