Synopsis:

Centuries after inadvertently consuming mermaid flesh, Yuta wanders Japan driven by a desperate hope for normalcy. He seeks a way to reverse the effects of his consumption and shed his extended lifespan. His search leads him to a secluded community of merfolk, where he uncovers a disturbing truth: the mermaids sustain their youth through a ritualistic consumption of human life.

Yuta’s intervention rescues a young girl from this fate, forging an unexpected bond with her. The girl, Mana, has known nothing beyond her isolated upbringing and finds liberation in Yuta's companionship. Now, together they navigate the complexities of their newfound connection, grappling with questions of morality, identity, and the meaning of existence as they continue their quest for a way to break the cycle that binds them. The series explores themes of sacrifice, freedom, and the search for belonging within a world where ancient legends hold tangible consequences.
