Synopsis:
Set in a secluded coastal town steeped in folklore, the narrative follows Ren, a young woman grappling with a mysterious lineage and an unusual connection to the ocean. She finds herself drawn into the lives of others who share similar enigmatic abilities – individuals burdened by inherited powers and whispered legends. The story unfolds with a contemplative pace, exploring themes of identity, responsibility, and the delicate balance between humanity and the natural world. As Ren uncovers hidden truths about her past and the town's history, she must navigate complex relationships and confront unsettling revelations. The series presents a subtly melancholic atmosphere, focusing on character-driven interactions and the quiet unfolding of extraordinary circumstances rather than high-stakes action. Unaired specials offer further insight into the world’s mythology and character backstories.

If you're planning on watching this, you already know how Teekyuu is so I'll skip all that and focus on writing about why these specials are particularly bad. First, for some reason the art in these specials is completely different from the rest of Teekyuu and it is really, really ugly. Ok well maybe it's not THAT ugly but it's still jarring to see the crazy crackhead cute girls I've seen for 6 seasons in a crap art style. Second, the jokes in these specials are pretty bad and didn't make me laugh. Especially the second episode, it doesn't feature any of the main characters. Instead,it shows us what's happening in the tennis club of UsaKame high school for some reason. nnAnd that's the end of my review. Just wanted to alert the next Teekyuu watcher to skip this.
