Rimuru Tempest follows Satoru Mikami, a 37-year-old office worker whose ordinary life is abruptly shattered. After a violent encounter, he awakens as a slime in a fantastical realm, inheriting extraordinary abilities centered around absorption and mimicry. He encounters Veldora, a powerful, sealed storm dragon burdened by a tragic past. Forming an unlikely bond, Rimuru pledges to help break Veldora's seal, receiving a protective name and purpose in return.
