    Synopsis:

    Set in a world where global conflict has dissolved into corporate warfare, *Sky Crawlers* follows Yuuichi Kannami as he begins work at a remote base in Area 262. As a newly transferred fighter pilot, Kannami initially focuses on completing his duties, but quickly becomes entangled in a web of unsettling questions surrounding the base's operations. He grapples with the existence of "Kildren," genetically engineered individuals perpetually stuck in adolescence and possessing enhanced abilities.

    Kannami’s investigation leads him to uncover the legacy of his predecessor, a legendary pilot known as "Teacher," and the enigmatic base commander, Suito Kusanagi. The narrative explores themes of identity, purpose, and the ethical implications of technological advancement within this unusual conflict landscape. The anime unfolds with a deliberate pace, building an atmosphere of quiet unease as Kannami confronts uncomfortable truths about his role and the world around him.
