Synopsis:

Fourteen years after a global catastrophe reshaped the world, humanity clings to existence amidst flooded ruins. The New United Nations strives for unity and cooperation, spearheaded by Secretary General Aoi, who envisions a future transcending historical divisions. However, entrenched national interests and resistance to change threaten her ideals. The fragile peace is shattered when military officer Gould launches a coup from aboard the nuclear submarine *Ulysses*. Targeting the strategically important town of Yabitsu, fueled by a desire for order through force, Gould’s actions plunge the region – and potentially the world – into conflict. The narrative explores themes of post-disaster recovery, political idealism versus pragmatic power, and the complexities of rebuilding society in the face of profound loss. The story follows Keel, whose family is caught in the crossfire, as he navigates a rapidly escalating situation with far-reaching consequences.
