I saw there weren't any reviews for this so i thought i'd try it out. There's not a whole lot to say about these specials really, the first one is about a field trip where the whole class goes outside (which is a rare sight so it was interesting) and pretty much just walk around with some funny moments here and there, mostly teasing Seki-kun which honestly gets old really fast but i'll pass it off as okay simply because we got to see the main characters outside and we got to explore more of what Seki-kun is like. The second one takes place in the winter,Seki-Kun makes a small snowball bunny and places it in a small frozen pond and cracks the ice so that it can fall into the pond for his enjoyment, but Rumi quickly saves the snowball bunny which prompts a snowball fight between the two. This episode has better laughs and better set-up than the first, plus seeing Seki-Kun and Rumi fight outside is a treat so for that reason i like this episode a lot better.nnOverall these specials have some laughs in them and are worth watching if you liked Tonari no Seki-kun. Maybe even if you didn't like the show you should watch them, maybe you're a masochist. -

Much like the OVA was good for something at the beginning of the series, the specials are good for something at the end of the series, after the character development between Yokoi and Seki. The jokes in these aren't that funny, especially in the first one, but the lengths that Yokoi will go to for Seki's sake are quite fun to watch. And when the situation calls for her to oppose Seki, Yokoi will take that up with everything she has, too. I really wish they had made more of this show. I may or may not check out the manga. -

Tonari no Seki-kun Specials (2014) Somewhat odd for specials to have episodes that are roughly double the length of a standard episode. They do however make for the best episodes in the series. The first one the field trip leads directly off from the last episode of the main show. In its whole, it forms the best episode of this pair and we also get a bit of a Yandere face-off Yokoi. The second one a snowy day at the school which makes for a funny and needy Yokoi in her plan to evade Seki and his evil plans. I would say with all honestly thatthese two are just great and would have really upped the entire show had it followed this pattern. They actually bring more story to the show but again there really isn't much of one but you at least feel a bit more is happening with the longer length. At least they finish on a high.
