    Synopsis:

    Set in a near-future where advanced MRI technology allows investigators to access the memories of the deceased, this series follows Section Nine, a specialized police unit grappling with the profound implications of this innovation. Led by Tsuyoshi Maki, the team uses these "memory scans" to solve crimes, but their work is fraught with ethical dilemmas and intense emotional burdens. New recruit Ikkou Aoki steps into the shoes of a fallen colleague, Katsuhiro Suzuki, whose death remains shrouded in mystery following exposure to disturbing MRI footage. As seemingly disparate cases begin to converge, Section Nine confronts not only the darkness of human behavior but also the potential consequences of peering too deeply into the past.
