Synopsis:

The narrative unfolds within the shadowy world of underground mahjong, where high stakes and desperation intertwine. Nangou, burdened by overwhelming debt to the mafia, enters a life-or-death game with perilous consequences. His chances of redemption dwindle as he faces increasingly formidable opponents. A turning point arrives with the unexpected appearance of Shigeru Akagi, a young boy fleeing law enforcement.

Seeing an opportunity for salvation, Nangou entrusts Akagi with the game's fate, imparting the essential rules. However, Akagi’s innate talent for gambling and unwavering resolve quickly surprise everyone, particularly the mafia who underestimated him. The story explores themes of chance, consequence, and the potential for unexpected strength in the face of adversity, all set against a backdrop of intense competition and moral ambiguity.
