Synopsis:
Gensokyo, a realm veiled from the human world, maintains a delicate balance between humanity and the supernatural. Reimu Hakurei, a shrine maiden tasked with maintaining this harmony, finds her routine disrupted by an unusual event preceding the annual summer banquet. The disappearance of items from the Hakurei Shrine marks the beginning of a wider disturbance – possessions across Gensokyo are vanishing without a trace.
Joined by her familiar, Marisa Kirisame, and the inquisitive news reporter Aya Shameimaru, Reimu investigates, uncovering a mystery that extends beyond simple theft. The scale of these incidents suggests a force comparable to legendary occurrences within Gensokyo’s history. As the investigation unfolds, the trio must unravel the cause behind this widespread phenomenon, navigating the complex relationships between humans and youkai in a landscape where the ordinary and extraordinary coexist.
