    Synopsis:

    Arisa Minase finds her life irrevocably altered following a conversation with her brother. She awakens in a surreal environment, identified as "Alice" by enigmatic twins and inhabitants of a place called Wonderland. This unfamiliar realm is populated by eccentric beings – a Cheshire Cat with a penchant for cryptic smiles, a perpetually sleepy dormouse, and others whose personalities echo figures from Arisa's past, yet who remain oblivious to her true identity or history.

    The world operates outside conventional time, trapped in an endless loop of the same day. As Arisa navigates this strange landscape, guided by the mysterious Black Rabbit, she begins to unravel the unsettling nature of Wonderland and the secrets held within its unchanging confines. The narrative explores themes of identity, memory, and the blurring lines between reality and perception, inviting contemplation on the nature of belonging and the weight of shared experiences.

      Based on the visual novel of the same name, Trick or Alice is a disappointing, almost unnecessary thirty-minute hentai that never actually becomes a hentai. Besides some stills and a short-lived grope scene, the audience isn't treated to anything remotely sexual. Which is a shame, because the art and sound is actually really nice, the characters are cute, and for a genre that's kind of known for its rushed and sloppy presentation, this could have been quite a treat. In fact, this show is so devoid of its principle content, that if you were to edit out what sex it does contain, it would easilypass as a pilot episode of a series for girls.
