Synopsis:

In the hidden corners of Kyoto exists a society of tanuki and tengu, largely unseen by the human world. Yasaburou Shimogamo, a member of the prominent tanuki clan, navigates this delicate coexistence with a blend of youthful ease and quiet observation. He finds himself mediating between the human realm and the mystical world of yokai, particularly through his interactions with an enigmatic woman named Benten and his care for an aging tengu.

Beneath the surface tranquility lies a lingering shadow. The death of Yasaburou's father, brutally taken by a group known as the Friday Fellows, casts a pall over his family. As Yasaburou and his brothers grapple with this unresolved tragedy, they are drawn into a quest to uncover the truth behind their father’s fate, navigating complex allegiances and facing potential danger in a world where ancient rivalries simmer beneath a veneer of normalcy. The series explores themes of familial responsibility, cultural identity, and the blurring lines between the mundane and the supernatural.
