Synopsis:

In a secluded village inhabited by people with distinct animalistic features, an amnesiac man is discovered by a young girl named Eruruu. Welcomed into her family, he's given the name Hakuoro and quickly becomes an unusual presence due to his lack of ears and tail – a stark contrast to his adopted community. The tranquility of their isolated life is shattered by a growing rebellion against the ruling emperor, drawing conflict directly to their village.

Hakuoro finds himself unexpectedly embroiled in this struggle, compelled to protect the people who have shown him kindness. As the revolution unfolds, he grapples with the urgency of the present while simultaneously seeking answers to his forgotten past, and the significance of the mask he perpetually wears. The story explores themes of belonging, identity, and the burdens of history within a unique and visually rich world.
