Mito Yamamoto’s life is marked by hardship and isolation after experiencing job loss and homelessness. A chance encounter at a peculiar cafe leads to an unexpected proposition from Ruka Saotome, a vampire with unusual dietary needs. Offered refuge and affection in exchange for servitude, Mito accepts a pact that binds them together. To maintain this arrangement, Mito disguises her identity as a young man and enrolls in a boys’ high school, working alongside Ruka to conceal her true nature.
