In a world where vampires exist alongside humanity, Vanitas and Noé embark on a journey to the ravaged town of Gévaudan, investigating a monstrous wolf responsible for numerous deaths. Driven by a desire to heal the creature, Vanitas believes it is afflicted by a curse linked to vampirism. Their investigation takes a dramatic turn when they are unexpectedly transported back in time to the Beast's initial appearance.

Separated during the chaos, Vanitas finds an uneasy alliance with Jeanne, a vampire hunter whose mission is to eliminate the creature, fueled by personal connections to its origins. Simultaneously, a wounded Noé is sheltered by Chloé d’Apchier and her servant, uncovering secrets about Chloé's own hidden past as a vampire guardian seeking a path to humanity. As they navigate this altered timeline, questions arise about who truly seeks to control the Beast's fate – and what sacrifices will be made in the process.
