Furin High School is a place where physical prowess holds more sway than academic achievement, and for Haruka Sakura, it represents a chance at validation. Haunted by a difficult past and shaped by self-reliance through combat, Sakura arrives determined to ascend the school's ranking system. His initial encounter with his classmates during a street altercation unexpectedly reveals a deeper purpose: the students of Furin, known as Bofurin, are dedicated to safeguarding their town.

Sakura’s journey unfolds as he grapples with unfamiliar acceptance and the responsibility that comes with it. Forced to confront formidable opponents alongside his newfound allies, he begins to understand the value of camaraderie and fight for something beyond personal gain.
