I picked up an attribute is an isekai series with Feng Xia, a modern gamer transported into the Divine Artifact Valley. A place known for its spiritual ingredients and beasts, Feng Xia meets Master Lu Chenhai who is a ghost waiting to posses an unlucky wandering traveler; However, unfortunately for Lu Chenhai, Feng Xia is armed with high mental fortitude and a cheat skill that allows him to copy skills of opponents he defeats which prevents Lu Chenhai from possessing him. Bound to Feng Xia, Lu Chenhai has no choice but to follow him along with a Demon girl of Hundred Serene Sect. Will theybe able to reach their goal or will the obstacles take over?nnStory & Character: 5/10 & 7/10nI wasn't expecting much from this series in terms of its narrative development and I was right; The story is your basic isekai but to put it simply the whole plot goal is for Feng Xia to restore his Master Lu Chenhai's original body. The journey to get there however, is where the story takes a different approach; It feels like we are constantly being dragged along some pointless journey through a sect we don't have any prior connection to beyond a wandering disciple, some enemy kingdom we shouldn't encounter in the first place and various political situations surrounding both of the factions. Don't get me wrong, there were some good moments the story did well which was introducing new characters and keeping them relevant to the story but the story didn't truly start until the end of episode 16; This season felt like an introduction arc for characters we won't see in the future anyway.nnCharacter was this series main strength; I picked up an attribute does well to portray character archetypes with their behaviors and tendencies. An example is the Demon girl who becomes the 'dumb but powerful' character archetype and she has her own tendency to crave anything food related even poison. The characters that are closest to Feng Xia all have their own unique personalities and sometimes act selfish in the beginning but after altercations with Feng Xia they start to change from aggressive to timid and supportive of Feng Xia. There were a lot of throw-away characters used only to display Feng Xia's skill that could have been used later in the series especially disciples that challenged Feng Xia in his first encounters. Feng Xia was a fairly enjoyable character, his personality isn't conceited nor too humble and his dialogue and responses can thrown me off sometimes - in a good way.nnArt & Sound: 6/10nThe art is of better quality CGI; There are many scenes especially in the middle of the series that felt very low quality in texture and composition but it picks up toward the end. I didn't really understand the use of slideshow stills, it felt like they took a screenshot right from a manhua and added narration to it before calling it a day. Improvements in composition would be nice, some scenes…
